✨The core mission of the Content Engineer:
Some of the main tasks in the Content Engineer role will be the assistance with testing, development, review and ongoing maintenance of our Labs offerings. You will start from delivering easy machines and then taking on more complex projects. Depending on your particular interests, you will have the opportunity to get involved in different domains, like cloud technologies, various programming languages, AI, Machine Learning etc. One of the main goals is the delivery of high quality cloud labs, exclusive machines, accompanied with good feedback from customers/users.
This is a role that gives you the opportunity to get involved in challenging and exciting tasks, while learning, researching and enhancing your creativity. You will also leave your footprint in the HTB ecosystem.
🍺 The fellowship you’ll be joining:
You will contribute to our growing Content Team and work in a highly collaborative environment. Reporting directly to the Content Tech Lead, you will be an integral member of a 5-person team tasked with developing high-quality content to engage our community effectively. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to providing support to other content teams, ensuring the timely delivery and quality review of content.

Develop exclusive machines focused on various new ongoing technologies and CVEs
Develop Cloud labs and contribute in other cloud related projects
Conduct multiple tests and maintain machines, labs, and challenges
Take on unplanned work and bug fixes/maintenance when needed
Work closely with the greater Content Development team, Infrastructure team, and other stakeholders on a daily basis to tackle simple and moderate tasks
Research to remain on top of current vulnerabilities, exploits, tools, tactics, and procedures relevant to the target audience
Automate recurring tasks to keep up with the assignments
🏆 Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Content Engineer at Hack The Box:
Experience in Cloud technologies (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Strong grasp of at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
Linux and Windows Administration experience will be a bonus point
Good knowledge in Web application and/or Network penetration testing
Highly organized, motivated, with a passion for information security
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, working both independently and remotely
An understanding of process documentation
Good command of English language (verbal & written)
Strong communication skills
Experience in HTB platform/previous content development in HTB will be considered a plus
HTB Certifications (CBBH, CPTS,CDSA, CWEE) will be a bonus point !

Level 1: To complete level one’s objective, submit your application.
Level 2: Meet the Talent Acquisition team. Level’s objective: highlight your past achievements, ambitions, and values.
Level 3: Meet the hiring manager. Level’s objective: connect with the hiring manager and share with them your achievements.
Level 4: Complete an assignment that aligns with day-to-day job-related tasks and responsibilities. Part of the assignment is discussing it with the hiring team in a debriefing session, in order to walk the team through your thinking process.
Level 5: Congratulations! Not many reach this level 💪. Level’s objective: have a constructive, final conversation with senior leadership to explore the role and your future at HTB.
Level 6: You've officially received an offer from HTB! To complete the last level and the Quest, all you need to do is accept the offer.
